Book Now - New Year's Eve – Southern Swan Walsh Bay

Treat yourself to exclusive views of the 9pm Family fireworks, the stunning Bridge Effect and Midnight Displays from aboard the Southern Swan tall ship, which is part of the Harbour of Light Parade. The Southern Swan is a magnificent traditional square rigger tall ship built in the style of the 1850s.

At the stroke of midnight, fireworks light up Sydney Harbour and you will enjoy a wonderful display from the deck of your tall ship. Watch in awe as both massive and intricate fireworks displays are set off from barges, rooftops up and down both sides of the harbour and the stunning Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Walsh Bay Parking
The nearest car parking is at Interpark Bond Store One, 26 Hickson Road Walsh Bay (next door to the theatre) and at Wilsons Parking Towns Place on the corner of Towns Place and Hickson Road at Walsh Bay.

Public Transport
Public ferry, train and bus services operate to and from The Rocks and Circular Quay. Walsh Bay Pier 2 is a 15 minute walk from Circular Quay and Wynyard.

Bus Service for Hickson Road
As well as buses servicing Circular Quay, Sydney Buses now operate two evening services to Walsh Bay. The 433 Balmain & Glebe Point bus to Millers Point which runs along George Street extends its route down Hickson Road from 6:30pm until 11:30pm daily. Buses run approximately every twenty minutes during these times.

Terms and Conditions for Sale of Tickets for Special Event Cruises:

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure seats on Special Events cruises. This includes but is not limited to Australia Day day and night cruises, Valentine’s Day cruises, Vivid cruises, Boxing Day cruises and New Year's Eve cruises. Tickets and monies are non-refundable and not transferable. No refunds for no shows, cancellations or change of mind.

You must be at the appointed boarding destination at the time advised and you are required to bring your New Year's Eve ticket. Allow plenty of time for road closures and heavy traffic. The ship cannot wait for late arrivals.

Sydney Harbour Tall Ships reserves the right to a) change any price b) amend or cancel a service, route or other information c) substitute any vessel referred to on this website (including a vessel not owned by the company) if it sees is necessary without notice and without incurring liability.

Cancellation of Special Events Cruises:

If the weather conditions and/or any other situation that makes the ship's operation unsafe as deemed by the Master of the Vessel, the event will, at the discretion of the Master, be cancelled. No refunds will be made.
